We make all photopolymer plates in-house to provide a quick turn-around on your printed piece.We can take Adobe illustrator and Indesign files with the type outlined. Please send a pdf proof when inquiring for an estimate. Graphic Design is offered to ensure you get the best product. Or, if you have a design, send it on and we can discuss your job and the best way to letterpress print it. Our offering split fountain printing for posters and spot color process, and quality enforced by tradition, requires at least six hours before the second color can be applied. But, the quality will blow you down. Visitors are encouraged to come to the shop and we welcome your business. |
What is Letterpress Printing? Letterpress printing is a term for printing text with movable type, in which the raised surface of the type is inked and then pressed against a smooth substance to obtain an image in reverse. In addition to the direct impression of inked movable type onto paper or another receptive surface, the term letterpress can also refer to the direct impression of inked media such as zinc "cuts" (plates) or linoleum blocks onto a receptive surface.
